I’m a 27 year old teacher of English and Psychology at Bishop Kenny High School in North Florida. I have a wife, a four month old daughter, and I also coach tennis and the debate team at my school. As if that wasn’t enough, I’ve always had a passion for writing and spend as much of my spare time as I can writing science-fiction and fantasy. Between my responsibilities, that leaves me with an average of about 30 uninterrupted minutes a day and 30 minutes that can be interrupted at any moment. On weekends, I can often get two or three hours.
My blog primarily focuses on any help I can give for others who are trying to manage a busy life while writing. I’ll also provide informative posts on writing in general, outlining, character building, self-publishing, the psychology of motivation and goal-setting, and regular updates on my own progress as a writer.
I’m currently shifting my efforts from the idea that has been my brain-baby for the past five years. It’s a story and setting for a fantasy novel that I’ve spent so long developing and working on that I’m terrified of not doing it justice. In the effort of getting something out there, whether it’s perfect or not, I’ve sidelined the idea in favor of writing a new science fiction drama.
I hope you’ll stick around and find some value in what I have to say. If you’re a fellow blogger, please don’t hesitate to send me a link to your own blog. I’d love to check it out!
